Solace in the Frozen Wastes

My return to the Dark Portal has been delayed several days so I had spare time to return to Northrend and settle my affairs with the Undead Scourge. As I passed by the Night Elven settlement in Dragonblight late one evening, I opted to take shelter there and said my prayers to the goddess from their half-freezing moonwell.

Solace in the Frozen Wastes

Tonight I praise thy sweet Elune best
From the frozen meadows of Star's Rest
The demon's judgment had been delayed
Thus more days in Northrend I've claimed

Things seem to go smoothly
But alas does it truly
Behind all the laughter and the fun
Has the hate and sadness really gone?

I wish it may, I wish it might
Mayhap this fade like the settling night
I only desire that our life renews
To bring back the glory of old virtues

As the howling winds cloud me with chill
Surely my prayers would make it up there still
For soon I might abandon all hope
And would no longer be able to cope

A rough blizzard was starting to brew thus the night elf sentinels had to advise me to return to my tent soon before the merciless weather claims my life. I looked up from my tent to the sky one last time, but the harsh weather had already shrouded the moon from view. I hope my prayers just made it in time...
